This Cookie Policy explains how Hexon Ltd uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit hexon.me or use our Android application. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site owner. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags.
2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These cookies are essential for you to use the site and cannot be switched off. They include authentication cookies that keep you signed in to your Hexon account and security tokens that protect against cross-site request forgery.
Functional
Functional cookies remember your preferences such as theme (light/dark), cookie consent decisions, and playback settings. They improve your experience but are not required for the site to work.
Analytics
Analytics tools help us understand how you use Hexon so we can improve the platform. We use two analytics services, both only activated after you give consent via our cookie banner:
- PostHog (EU-hosted) — product analytics. Places a cookie to identify unique visits and track feature usage.
- Vercel Web Analytics — page-view and traffic analytics. This service is cookieless: it does not set any cookie or store a persistent identifier on your device. It collects only aggregate, anonymised data (page visited, referrer, country, device type).
Third-party
Some pages embed content from third parties (for example, video players via Mux). Those services may set their own cookies subject to their own policies.
3. Managing your cookie preferences
When you first visit Hexon you will see a cookie banner where you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for hexon.me, which will re-show the banner on your next visit.
You can also control cookies directly in your browser. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies in their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to your account. For browser-specific instructions:

5. Other tracking technologies
Not all analytics tools rely on cookies. Vercel Web Analytics, which we use for aggregate traffic measurement, collects page view data without setting any cookie on your device. Instead of a cookie, it creates a temporary hash derived from the incoming request to count a visit. This hash is never stored permanently — it is automatically discarded after 24 hours.
The following data points may be recorded with each page view:
- Page URL and dynamic path
- Referrer (the page you came from)
- Query parameters (filtered — sensitive values such as tokens or order IDs are not collected)
- Approximate geolocation (country, region, city — derived from the request, not stored as an IP address)
- Device OS and version, browser and version, device type (mobile / desktop / tablet)
All data is used for aggregated statistics only and cannot be used to identify or re-identify you individually, or to reconstruct your browsing activity across different websites. This technology is only activated after you give consent via our cookie banner, in the same way as cookie-based analytics.
